Brief
A 145 m² duplex on Tavricheskaya: a formal vertical, double-height light, and calm rooms for living.
Challenge
The stair and the height can turn a home into a display. We had to keep the character and make the space livable.
Plan
The shared volume gathers around the stair and gallery, private rooms stay intimate, and storage is built into the walls.
Solution
Finishes hold the character of the house. Contemporary furniture and light make the rooms human in scale.
Result
The duplex reads as formal, but lives quietly: the vertical works for light, not for effect.
